Paul Klee was one of the key artists of the XX century.
Born in Germany, he became a naturalised Swiss citizen shortly before his death.
In this work, Klee paints the face of a man - ‘senecio’ means ‘old man’ in Latin - in such a geometrical way it looks like a mask. The face is divided in rectangles, like patchwork. The triangle and the curved line above the eyes give us the impression the man is raising an eyebrow.
The puzzles are eco-friendly and made from wood from renewable forests.
