Born in the Netherlands in 1872, Piet Mondrian began to paint pictures representing nature. Very quickly, he simplified the shapes. Then he became interested in surfaces and simple colors. He creates without calculation horizontal and vertical rectangles with beautiful black lines, the color completes the harmony of the shapes.
