Alfons Mucha was a Czech poster designer, painter, illustrator and decorative artist. From the very start of his career, he took photographs of his models, to be able to make multiple illustrations based on them. He made several series of four lithographs on the topics of the seasons, precious stones or - as is the case in this work - the hours of the day.
